With over 32 years in Human Resources and as a Corporate Director of Human Resources, when asked what excites her most about her position Alexis cites “the more than 3,500 employees, Senior leadership, and management, as well as caregivers, and that I have a positive impact on their happiness as employees of multiple companies throughout California. Alexis has previously served in the roles of Director of Human Resources at Crestwood Behavioral Health, and Senior Human Resources Director at Gemini Legal among other positions in her impressive career. Alexis served as Vice President of Career Management on the Sacramento Area HR Association Board of Directors from 2017 – 2019.
Alexis graduated Class Salutatorian from Calvary Christian Academy in 1992. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, San Francisco State University, Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, University of California, Davis and a master’s in human resources, Golden Gate University. She is currently a Juris Doctorate Candidate with the Purdue Global School of Law. Looking to further her vast experience in Employment Law.
Aside from her education and career Alexis has a heart for public service. She has been an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated for 30 years. Alexis is a recent graduate of The National Leadership Achievement Academy Delta Fellows Cohort 3 Program and is the Immediate Past President of the Elk Grove Alumnae Chapter. In her role as President, she founded and chaired for seven years the Y.O.L.O. Youth Leadership Conference which is a one-day conference for high schoolers preparing for college and life applications. She served in multiple roles of leadership within the chapter and continues to serve within the Region. Alexis strives to be an example in the community to the youth. Alexis continues to aim toward and produce excellence in all she does, whether in her children, church, sorority, work, or community. She has a heart for people and is a committed prayer warrior. “Alexis, a native of Hercules, California, grew up in The California State Baptist Convention, (CSBC).
When Alexis is not serving within the community or her career, she is spending time with her hearts, her amazing Husband, Pastor Emmett Mapp, her beautiful children, Harmony, HyRon, Joseph, Joy and Bryane and her favorite of all, her beautiful granddaughter Averie.
